Librarian job vacancy in Abu-Dhabi UAE for Indian
We are looking for a Librarian to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining library resources, organizing books and other materials, as well as providing research and reference services.
The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills and an eye for detail. You should also be comfortable working with a variety of people, including students, researchers, staff members and visitors. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain library resources by organizing books and other materials according to established procedures
- Provide research assistance to patrons by responding to inquiries regarding library collections and services
- Assist patrons with the use of library technology such as computers, printers, photocopiers, etc.
- Create bibliographies and organize databases according to established procedures
- Develop library programs such as book clubs or readings
- Monitor library usage statistics to ensure that the library is meeting its objectives
- Compile reports on library activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field
- Knowledge of principles and practices of modern librarianship
- Experience working in libraries preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups of people
This is a full-time position with a salary of 1800 per month. We are willing to consider applicants from outside of the country who are eligible for immigration.
