Part-time Men's Librarian (Indian Nationality Preferred) - Abu Dhabi, UAE

This role is available to a reliable and motivated Librarian who is willing to work part-time in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate should be an Indian Nationality, however this is not a strict requirement.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the collection, organization, and maintenance of library resources. Duties include cataloguing and classifying materials according to subject and title; helping library patrons locate information; issuing library cards; providing reference services; and organizing and leading educational activities such as story time for children. The Librarian will also be responsible for maintaining computer databases and ensuring the accuracy of the catalogue system.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to assist in the selection of new materials and purchase supplies as needed.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Library Science or equivalent experience in a library setting. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills in order to interact with patrons on all levels. In addition, applicants must have experience using computers and various software applications related to libraries.
