Librarian job vacancy in Abu-Dhabi UAE for Indian

Salary: 1600 AED per month
We are looking for a Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the library's operations and managing and providing access to library materials. You must be organized and have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:- Manage the library's collection of books, journals, magazines, audio-visual materials, digital media, and other items.
- Monitor the circulation of library materials and ensure their timely return.
- Provide reference services to library patrons and assist them in locating information.
- Process new acquisitions of library material by cataloging them according to established standards.
- Develop new library policies, procedures, and practices as needed.
- Create databases as needed for tracking patron requests and usage of library materials.
- Keep the library neat and orderly; maintain a clean environment for patrons.
- Develop programming such as storytime or book clubs to engage patrons in the use of the library’s resources.
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred but not required.
- Ability to multitask effectively and handle multiple projects at once with accuracy and speed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with patrons from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of computer systems, databases, software applications, internet research tools, etc., used in libraries; experience with integrated computer systems for libraries (ILS) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision; must be highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- A valid passport allowing foreign travel is a plus but not required; we are willing to consider foreign candidates for this role if they meet all other necessary requirements for employment in Abu Dhabi
