Librarian Assistant

Our library in Abu-Dhabi, UAE is seeking a highly motivated and organized Librarian Assistant to join our team. This position is open to Indian nationals who are fluent in English, have no prior experience, and are in need of visa sponsorship. This is an urgent hiring and we are looking for someone who can start immediately.

• Assist in organizing and maintaining the library's collection of books, journals, magazines, and other materials.
• Keep track of new acquisitions and ensure they are properly catalogued and shelved.
• Help patrons locate materials within the library and provide guidance on how to use the library's resources.
• Monitor the lending and return of books, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded.
• Assist in managing the library's budget by keeping track of expenses and suggesting cost‑saving measures.
• Help in planning and implementing library events such as book clubs or author talks.
• Keep up‑to‑date with new trends in librarianship by attending workshops or conferences.

• Indian national currently residing in Abu-Dhabi or willing to relocate.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field is preferred but not required.
• No prior experience as a librarian assistant is necessary, but basic knowledge of library procedures is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain a work visa through our company's sponsorship.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
