We are seeking an inspirational, highly skilled, and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our thriving academic department. The successful candidate will be passionate about fostering a deep understanding and love for mathematics, committed to academic excellence, and dedicated to contributing to a vibrant international school community in Abu Dhabi, adhering to ADEK educational standards.

• Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related quantitative field from a recognised university.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education PGCE or equivalent professional teaching qualification.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of full-time, post-qualification teaching experience in Mathematics at the secondary level Cycle 3 / Grades 9-12 or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success in preparing students for external examinations e.g., IGCSE, A-Levels, AP Calculus/Statistics, IB DP Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching within an international school setting with a diverse student population is highly advantageous.

  • Pedagogical & Technical:
    • Exceptional classroom management skills, promoting a positive and productive learning environment.
    • Proficiency in integrating educational technology e.g., graphing calculators, interactive whiteboards, Virtual Learning Environments like Canvas/Google Classroom to enhance mathematical understanding.
    • Strong analytical skills for student assessment, data tracking, and the implementation of differentiated instruction to meet individual student needs.
    • Ability to design and deliver engaging, challenging, and relevant mathematics lessons that inspire critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills for effective engagement with students, parents, and colleagues.
    • A positive, adaptable, and resilient approach to teaching and learning, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
    • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multinational school environment.
    • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Curriculum:
  • Thorough knowledge and proven experience teaching a reputable international curriculum for Mathematics at Cycle
    3. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • American Common Core State Standards leading to AP Calculus/Statistics.
  • Experience with the International Baccalaureate IB Diploma Program Mathematics:
    Analysis and Approaches / Applications and Interpretation is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with modern pedagogical approaches such as inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary connections in mathematics.
• UAE-Specific Requirements:
  • All academic qualifications must be officially attested and Ministry of Education MOE equivalency obtained as per UAE government regulations.
  • Eligibility for and commitment to obtaining ADEK Teacher License approval, including successful completion of all necessary professional development modules.
  • Possession of a clear criminal record check / Police Clearance Certificate from both the home country and the UAE if applicable.
• A strong understanding of and unwavering commitment to child safeguarding policies and practices within an international school environment.
