Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Design and Engineering Teacher to join our team in August 2025. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching Design and Engineering at the secondary level, with experience in the British curriculum. The Design and Engineering Teacher will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students, creating engaging lesson plans, and fostering a love for design and engineering in our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs and abilities of all students
• Create a stimulating and challenging classroom environment that promotes learning
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to engage and motivate students
• Develop and implement assessment strategies to measure students' progress and provide timely feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects and activities
• Utilize technology and other resources to enhance teaching and learning
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching skills and knowledge
• Actively contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities, events, and initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design and Technology or related field
• PGCE (Secondary) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in Design and Engineering at the secondary level
• Experience in teaching the British curriculum is preferred
• Passion for design and engineering and ability to inspire and engage students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Willingness to contribute to the wider school community and participate in extracurricular activities
