Librarian Assistant

We are hiring a Librarian Assistant to join our team at a prestigious library in Abu Dhabi As a Librarian Assistant you will assist in managing the librarys collection providing reference services to patrons and maintaining the organization of library materials

This is an urgent position that offers a competitive salary of 1300$ per month

• Assist in managing the librarys collection including cataloging and shelving books
• Provide reference services to patrons including helping them locate materials and answering research questions
• Maintain the organization of library materials by ensuring shelves are properly labeled and books are returned to their designated locations
• Assist with processing new materials for circulation including labeling and covering books
• Help plan and implement library programs and events such as book clubs or author visits
• Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning shelves and checking for damaged materials

• Fluent in English Arabic proficiency is a plus
• Bachelors degree in Library Science or related field Masters preferred
• Previous experience working in a library setting preferred but not required
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service
