Librarian
A reputable library in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library's collection of books, journals, and other materials. You will also assist library patrons in finding and accessing resources, as well as providing research assistance. This role requires excellent communication skills, as you will be interacting with a diverse group of library users.
Key Responsibilities- Organize and maintain the library's collection of materials
- Assist library patrons in finding and accessing resources
- Provide research assistance to students and faculty
- Develop and implement innovative programs to promote the use of the library's resources
- Manage circulation services, including checking books in/out and handling fines/fees
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop policies and procedures for the library
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Familiarity with various research databases and information systems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluency in English is preferred but not required
- Competitive salary of 1400$ per month
