Head of Department (HOD) – English
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the English Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop, implement, and review the English curriculum in alignment with school objectives.
- Mentor, support, and evaluate English teachers to enhance instructional quality.
- Monitor student achievement and implement strategies to improve academic outcomes.
- Ensure lesson planning, assessment, and classroom practices meet curriculum requirements.
- Coordinate departmental meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning.
- Promote innovative teaching methodologies and the effective integration of educational technology.
- Work collaboratively with school leadership, teachers, students, and parents to support student success.
- Maintain departmental records, reports, and documentation as required.
- Ensure compliance with ADEK regulations and school policies.
