Assistant Professor in Communication and Crisis ManagementQualifications:
PhD in Strategic Communication, Crisis Communication, Corporate Communication, or a closely related specialization.
- Ability to teach a variety of practical courses in Digital Media, including Digital Content Production, Writing and Editing for Digital Media, Social Media Journalism, Mobile Journalism, and Digital Storytelling.
- Proficiency in emerging technologies, particularly tools and software for integrating images, audio, and written content into cohesive digital content.
- Proficiency in using digital content production equipment, particularly digital cameras, audio recording devices, and related software.
- Train students in developing integrated content strategies, including identifying target audiences, selecting appropriate platforms, crafting messages, and measuring engagement and performance.
- Contribute effectively to College and University initiatives and provide constructive proposals and projects.
- Encourage and guide students to envision their future careers in Digital Media within local, regional, and international contexts and ensure they are equipped to meet labor market requirements.
- Contribute to the field training program and build professional relationships with local media organizations.
- At least 3 years of university teaching experience.
- Commitment to developing and updating curricula and practical course content in line with developments in digital platforms and production tools.
- Contribution to quality assurance and academic accreditation requirements, including the preparation of supporting documentation and evidence for practical courses and laboratories.
- Ability to prepare course files and Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) reports and align assessment methods with intended learning outcomes.
- Ability to teach Digital Media courses and related theoretical, technical, and creative aspects of the discipline.
- High proficiency in using information technology and digital tools in teaching.
