Teacher - Physical Education; Female Primary Specialist; Yasmina British Academy

Yasmina British Academy is seeking an outstanding Teacher of Physical Education (Female Primary Specialist) to join our Team in Abu Dhabi. We are looking for candidates who can start from January 2027. Due to the structure of the department in the school, we will require a female candidate for this role.

To assist in the day to day running of the PE department taking responsibilities for administration tasks, displays and supporting lessons. The role will also involve monitoring and maintaining the PE equipment and storage as well as supporting PE staff in the creation of lesson resources. Ideally, we would like to appoint a candidate with a passion for sport who would be willing to contribute to our extensive school squad provision.

The sports preferred are Football, Basketball or Athletics.

• Assist academy in achieving its overall vision and strategic intentions and to contribute to the achievement of relevant targets as set out in the academy's improvement plan and self-evaluation form
• Comply with regulations pertaining to health and safety at work legislation and adhere to academy policies relating to safe working practice and equal opportunities regulations
• Comply with the academy's Performance Management Policy ensuring challenging annual targets are set and to fulfil the role of performance management reviewer if directed to do so by the Principal
• Engage in annual training linked to child protection, safeguarding and health and safety together with all training deemed appropriate for the purpose of academy improvement or performance management
• Comply with the academy's staff dress code at all times including the wearing of photo  / lanyard
• Comply with the academy's computer Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) at all times
• Attend all staff briefings
• Sign out and sign in at relevant academy reception if off site at any point during the normal working day.

• Using a variety of teaching methods to:

Match approach to content, structure information, present a set of key ideas and use appropriate vocabulary

Use effective questioning, listen carefully to students, give attention to errors and misconceptions

Select appropriate learning resources and develop study skills through library, I.C.T. and other learning technologies

• Ensuring students acquire and consolidate knowledge, skills and understanding appropriate to the subject taught
• Evaluating own teaching critically to improve effectiveness
