The German Tutor will deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons to students in the Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, focusing on building language proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, conducting on-site sessions, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. The tutor will adapt instructional methods to different ages and learning styles, help learners prepare for school exams or proficiency tests, and maintain accurate records of attendance and performance.
This is a part-time, on-site role that involves close collaboration with Knowledge Connection’s academic coordinators to ensure lesson quality, consistency, and learner satisfaction.
- Strong command of the German language (preferably native or near-native proficiency) and solid knowledge of German grammar, vocabulary, and usage.
- Experience teaching or tutoring German to children, adolescents, or adults, with the ability to tailor lessons to different curricula and levels.
- Skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and learner assessment, with a focus on setting clear objectives and tracking progress.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with learners and work cooperatively with families and coordinators.
- Degree in German, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; relevant teaching certifications or language teaching qualifications are beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to create inclusive, supportive learning environments and to work with learners from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
- Flexibility to work part-time on-site in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, and reliability in maintaining scheduled sessions.
