Job Summary:

A customer-facing and focused technical specialist is fully proficient to an advanced level in Power Generation systems at a customer site. They perform advanced diagnostics, complex problem solving, troubleshooting, complex repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance on all

components of power generation systems. They adhere to established procedures and guidelines to Enhance service workshop knowledge and skills.

• Min 5 years workshop and level field service work experience related to power generator maintenance and repair
• Min 2 years of Cummins Generator experience
• Strong Electrical knowledge, specially gensets, balance of plant, Power Generation, AVR, ATS etc
• Cummins Control Systems knowledge such as PCC , Insite and Inpower, C-command (DMC is a plus)
• Customer Field service experience , team player, positive attitude

• Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs and maintenance activities to generators and components at the customer’s site or workshop.
• Performs emergency troubleshooting, repair and recovery activities on power generation equipment to restore customer operations in the shortest possible time.
• Maintains continuous 24 hours per day, 7 days per week standby readiness and availability to respond to emergency breakdown calls as directed by Cummins Service Operations.
• Working hours are flexible and may include day shifts, night shifts, weekends, public holidays and extended working hours depending on customer emergencies and operational requirements.
• Must be capable of mobilizing and travelling on short notice to customer locations throughout the assigned territory.
• This role will be hired indirectly through a third-party agency. However, the selected candidate will receive training and management equivalent to that of a direct hire, ensuring equal opportunities and inclusion within the company.

• Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
• Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
• Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field
• Responds to emergency breakdown calls and field service requests within the response time required by Cummins and customer service agreements.
• Performs emergency fault diagnosis, temporary restoration measures and permanent corrective repairs on generator sets, transfer switches, control systems and associated electrical equipment.
• Maintains communication with Cummins Service Supervisors and customers throughout emergency response activities.
• Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor
• Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
• Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
• Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor
• The job can be performed in all countries served by Cummins Arabia: UAE, KSA and Kuwait.
• Must remain reachable by telephone and other communication methods during assigned standby periods and be capable of reporting for duty when called.
