- Under general supervision, performs all phases of the rigging up and down of service line equipment on work locations both on and offshore.
- Provides the planning necessary for the job including equipment set up, well site direction, and customer related support activities.
- Responsible for the activities relative to maintaining, setting up, testing, and operating equipment at the customer location and field camp.
- Mentors and trains lower level Service Operators and Operator Assistants in areas of expertise.
- Monitors instruments and performs necessary calculations to ensure quality of the data at well.
- Consults with customers concerning services and products, promotes good customer relations at the well site, and ensures customer satisfaction with results.
- Checks and verifies equipment as per job plan, properly maintains equipment and completes all job documentation.
- Conducts pre- job toolbox safety meetings, reviews and verifies job plan with customer representative and manages any changes required.
- The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations is required. Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
- Skills are acquired through completion of a high school diploma and 6+ years experience in oil field drilling activities including 4+ years of managed pressure drilling and MPD software’s experience is a Must.
- Must have met the minimum competency requirements for Svc Spec II-GBA.
