Electrical Systems Engineer

As an Electrical System Engineer in Orbitworks' Solutions Engineering Team, you will work on multiple satellite missions simultaneously, each with a unique, multi-payload configuration. Your role will be to ensure the successful power and command protocol integration of the payloads to the bus, leveraging Loft’s products. You will collaborate across various teams including satellite electrical configuration, payload interface software, mission engineering, and AIT.

• Enjoy being the face of the electrical technical requirements and working with a team to deliver quality hardware.
• Knowledge of bus protocols such as Space Wire, CAN, and RS-422 specifications.
• Understanding of power allocation and distribution systems, including fault tolerance and derating considerations.
• Familiarity with different satellite subsystems (Thermal, Structural, ADCS, RF Link, etc.).

• Experience in small satellite assembly, integration, and test campaigns.
• Experience working in a fast-paced development environment.
• Prior experience in delivering a spacecraft to orbit and/or space-qualified hardware to a customer.

Orbitworks' mission is to simplify space for organizations deploying physical and virtual missions. Building on Loft Orbital's heritage, Orbitworks will be the first commercial firm in the United Arab Emirates to mass-manufacture satellites. The company aims to produce tens of satellites annually from its 50,000-square-foot facility in Abu Dhabi.
