A skilled and innovative Product Development Manager is required to lead the design, development, and enhancement of new insulation products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background, coupled with a passion for developing new products and processes to meet market demands.
Job Responsibilities- Conceptualize and develop new products from ideation to production, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer needs.
- Develop detailed business case studies for new product initiatives.
- Conduct market research to evaluate and select appropriate materials and additives to enhance product performance, durability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Identify market sources and suppliers for raw materials and components.
- Create prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate design concepts and ensure product reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Procurement, and Manufacturing to ensure seamless product development and launch processes.
- Lead product certification and related testing processes, ensuring compliance with applicable industry regulations.
- Develop and maintain product testing plans in line with industry standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all product development activities, including design specifications, test results, and user manuals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in product development within the manufacturing sector
- Experience in developing new products and processes
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD)
- Knowledge of product testing standards, methodologies, and fire classifications
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Strong skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and business case analysis
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards in the manufacturing industry (preferred)
- Prior involvement in the full product lifecycle, from concept to market launch (preferred)
