Overview
LEAD Development is looking for a passionate and ambitious Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join our Development and Construction team. This role is designed for fresh graduates who want to gain hands-on experience in real estate development projects, focusing on HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, district cooling, and mechanical building systems. The selected candidate will support the team in delivering world-class residential, commercial, and community projects.
KeyDuties and Responsibilities
- Support senior engineers in the design review, coordination, and implementation of mechanical building systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, district cooling, etc.).
- Assist in reviewing consultants’ and contractors’ drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements and standards.
- Participate in site inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance under supervision.
- Support in MEP coordination between design, construction, and operations teams to ensure integration of systems.
- Conduct basic engineering calculations, load estimates, and equipment sizing under guidance.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, project documentation, and compliance records.
- Learn and apply sustainability and energy efficiency practices in line with LEAD’s development standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, construction, procurement, and facilities management.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards, codes, and technologies related to mechanical engineering in real estate development.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical services for buildings.
- Familiarity with UAE building codes, sustainability standards (Estidama, LEED), and international design practices is an advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or other mechanical design software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- Eager to learn and build a career in the real estate development industry.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
