Job SummaryThe Quantity Surveyor will oversee the financial and contractual aspects of EV charging station installation projects. This role involves cost estimation, procurement, contract management, and ensuring compliance with local authority regulations. Candidates must be flexible to relocate from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and will receive support throughout the transition.
Key Responsibilities Cost Management- Prepare and manage cost estimates and budgets for EV charging station projects.
- Perform detailed quantity take‑offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Track project costs to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Evaluate and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare, review, and manage contracts, including handling variations and amendments.
- Ensure procurement aligns with project budgets and specifications.
- Ensure cost‑related documentation meets UAE authority standards (e.g., DEWA, ADDC).
- Provide regular reports on project progress, cost variances, and financial status.
- Collaborate with engineers and site teams to ensure accurate cost control.
- Conduct site visits to verify quantities, progress, and quality of work.
- Coordinate with project teams to manage resource allocation effectively.
- Monitor material usage and ensure optimal use of resources.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in electrical or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in EV charging infrastructure or renewable energy projects is an advantage.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., Candy, CostX) and AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
- Familiarity with UAE regulations, including DEWA and ADDC standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Candidates must be flexible to relocate from Abu Dhabi to Dubai as CATEC transitions its operations. Support will be provided during this process, and flexibility will be considered for candidates already based in Dubai.
