• Assist the Commissioning Team in supervising EPC Contractor in execution of commissioning and start‑up activities for the discipline.
• Monitor area completion program and ensure safe, timely completion.
• Ensure development, execution, and completion of operations training program.
• Assist Lead SU Engineer in developing schedules for:
  Operations Manuals, Training requirements & schedule, Training material for operations and plant availability, development of pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up procedures, SOPs and other relevant documentation.
• Monitor and safeguard that project commissioning and start‑up activities are executed in accordance with company procedures.
• Advise on concerns and corrective actions and closeout to satisfaction of company.
• Assist in handover of facilities from EPC Contractor to owner/operator.
• Actively participate in EPC Contractor’s HSE processes for hazard identification, risk analysis, mitigation and development of commissioning/start‑up methodologies for his area.
• Participate in developing commissioning and start‑up schedules during EPC work.
• Attend internal/external project reviews and other meetings as necessary.
• Develop and produce commissioning/start‑up and safety inputs/reports as required.
• Develop spare part requirements for pre‑commissioning/commissioning purposes.
• Assess necessity for vendor training and assist in developing vendor training plan with EPC Contractor training coordinator.
• Assist in development and execution of overall training plan ensuring both company and EPC contractor complete operations training program.
• Participate in detailed operator training where needed, monitor effectiveness and propose improvements.
• Attend internal progress, commissioning and start‑up meetings with EPC Contractor.
• Contribute to continuous risk analysis of commissioning and start‑up works under guidance of commissioning manager.
• Review and advise pre‑commissioning and commissioning documents, assign review codes, follow up on other disciplines to ensure timely release, verify contractor resolution of comments.
• Proactively follow up the national trainees and ensure their technical knowledge development.

• Deliver pre‑commissioning/commissioning scope with expected quality & efficiency.
• Maintain deliverables as per agreed schedule.
• Performance assessment includes KPI’s with regular reviews and feedback.

• Implement approved project policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures.
• Ensure all commissioning personnel have adequate qualification and comply with work practices.
• Analyze deficiencies and ensure continuous improvement.

• Design and implement new tools and techniques for quality and efficiency.
• Identify improvements against best practices.
• Ensure quality assurance program is followed at all stages.

• Comply with HSE policies and legislation and sustainability guidelines.

• Provide input to technical reports related to project area.

• Internal: IPMT, licensor and site representatives, operations and plant availability, assigned PMT/PMC personnel, developers, liaise with process licensors.
• External:
  Plant operations/maintenance, other packages via interface team, contractor per communication protocol, other projects via interface team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent through experience.
• Fluent in English (written & spoken).

• Minimum 5 years relevant practical experience.
• Petrochemical experience.
• Very good knowledge of pre‑commissioning and commissioning practices.
