Overview

Static Engineer (PMC Offshore Project) – Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. K  Abu Dhabi is currently looking to fill a position of Static Engineer (PMC role) for an Offshore Project to be based in Contractor’s Office.

• Supports static equipment engineering needs across Projects and Operations organization.
• Stewardship of engineering work quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.
• Supports technical evaluations to address issues with equipment and system design, operation, and maintenance.
• Provides pertinent engineering expertise to Root Cause Failure Analysis.
• Reviews project and contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications, design practices, static equipment toolkit guidance, and best practices. Documents to be reviewed may include Piping & Instrument Diagrams, equipment arrangements, equipment specifications, data sheets, vendor proposals, and technical studies.
• Participates in design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOPs, vendor qualification, and vendor bid evaluations as requested.
• Coordinates communication between different stakeholders in Projects and Operations organization; manages teleconferences and reporting tools.
• Supports functional initiatives and maintains discipline documentation pertinent to company facilities.
• Provides technical mentorship to early-career professionals, with emphasis on identified skill gaps.
• Participates in internal networks to disseminate capabilities for the benefit of others.
• Maintains current knowledge through participation in industry conferences/forums and proactively grows the discipline’s technical expertise in pertinent technologies on a continuous basis.

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree from a recognized university with minimum GPA 6.0 or above.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in responsible roles in static equipment engineering design for projects in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in upstream oil and gas engineering projects.
• Having minimum 5 years of previous experience working in Offshore projects would be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working for upstream oil and gas company will be preferred.
• Experience with operating pressure vessels, heat exchangers and tanks including equipment selection, sizing, design, installation, preservation, commissioning, start-up, operation, surveillance, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrading, and decommissioning.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position for a mega oil and gas construction project (more than US $1 Billion).
