The Range Conducting Officer (RCO) is expected to assist in the planning of Air/Land and Maritime tests and coordinating all Range and bought in functions during test specification and execution. The RCO is responsible for ensuring that the test is executed in accordance with the test plan and associated risk assessments.
This is a full-time role located in Abu Dhabi, relocation assistance is provided.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities- Ensure that the test is conducted in accordance with the test plan and associated risk assessments
- Ensure that it is safe to use the test Zone/area and all flags and warning signs must be displayed and other visual and / or audible warning devices as required by the Range requirements.
- Ensure that the range area is closed according to the safety trace outlined in the test plan. Implement necessary closures and safety measures to secure the test site and prevent unauthorized access.
- Conduct thorough ‘Test and daily Safety Briefings’ for all stakeholders, emphasizing test zones, key safety protocols, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that the correct test team is applied to the test.
- Support specialists to establish suitable and sufficient risk assessments and planning of tests.
- Control deconflict flight plans with other RCO to prevent any accident/incident.
- Ensure that the test is set up according to the test plan.
- Ensure that the all-test area is clean, ready for next test and report if any obstacles required other departments support for recovery.
- Ensure that the test area is remediated in accordance with the test plan at the end of each test.
- Report all Incidents and accidents according Remaya XRange policies and SOP’s.
- Ensure to remain with clint on the test site at all times during the test.
- Driving license
- Understands military operations in the United Arab Emirates
- Leadership of small teams
- Awareness of the need to control contractors
- Awareness of health and safety risk assessment process
- Knowledge of air safety protocols
- Knowledge of airframe safety assurance
- Knowledge of air launched/dropped munitions
- Experience of large calibre guns, firearms
- Leadership of small teams Desirable
- Knowledge of air, land, sea and air defence equipment
- Knowledge of land, sea and air military operation
