Overview:
This role offers an excellent opportunity for UAE National engineers to grow and develop in a highly specialized field within the defence and aerospace sector. You will support aircraft–weapon integration activities by performing aeromechanical engineering tasks related to structural loads, vibration, aeroelastic and dynamic response, as well as mechanical interfaces and release environments of weapon systems. Under the guidance and mentorship of senior engineers, you will contribute to ensuring safe, compliant, and compatible integration of company‑developed weapons onto airborne platforms in line with military standards, airworthiness requirements, and program objectives.
This position provides hands‑on learning, technical development, and a strong pathway for continuous professional growth within a leading national organisation.
Key Accountabilities:
- Aircraft–Weapon Aeromechanical Integration:
Perform aeromechanical activities related to the integration of weapon systems onto aircraft platforms, including mechanical interfaces, carriage, and release environments. - Mechanical Interface Definition:
Define, assess, and verify mechanical interfaces between weapon systems, suspension equipment, and aircraft structures in accordance with integration requirements. - Structural, Loads & Dynamic Analysis:
Conduct or support aeromechanical analyses such as structural loads, vibration, aeroelastic and dynamic response to assess aircraft–weapon compatibility and integration impacts. - Design & Integration Reviews:
Contribute to and support aeromechanical aspects of design, integration, and readiness reviews by providing technical inputs, analysis results, and engineering justifications. - Test & Verification Support:
Support and execute aeromechanical test and verification activities, including ground and flight test preparation, instrumentation coordination, and data review related to weapon integration. - Compliance & Airworthiness:
Ensure aeromechanical integration activities comply with applicable military standards, airworthiness requirements, contractual obligations, and internal engineering procedures. - Engineering Documentation & Traceability:
Prepare, review, and maintain aeromechanical engineering documentation, calculations, reports, and compliance evidence with full traceability to requirements. - Technical Issue Resolution:
Identify, analyze, and support resolution of aeromechanical issues arising during design, integration, test, or operational phases. - Cross-Functional Engineering
Collaboration:
Collaborate with systems, safety, test, manufacturing, and platform integration teams to ensure coherent and safe aircraft–weapon integration. - Continuous Improvement & Technical Development:
Contribute to continuous improvement of aeromechanical methods, tools, processes, and technical knowledge within the organization. - Engineering Software & Analysis Tools:
Apply approved engineering software tools (e.g. CAD tools such as Creo or Solid Works, numerical tools such as MATLAB, and CFD tools) to support aeromechanical analyses, model fitment, data processing, and evaluation of aerodynamic and integration impacts.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with sufficient aeronautical subjects, or BSc/B Eng. in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 2+ years of similar experience within the defence or aerospace industry, preferably involving aircraft–weapon or airborne system integration
- Working knowledge of safety-critical development processes (airborne / weapon systems)
- Knowledge of aircraft–weapon integration principles and aeromechanical interfaces
- Knowledge of structural loads, vibration, aeroelasticity, and dynamic response
- Knowledge of engineering analysis, data interpretation, and technical reporting
- Knowledge of engineering software tools (CAD, numerical analysis, CFD)
- Understand Lean principles
- Knowledge of test and verification processes for airborne systems
