Electrical Site Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and designs to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and project requirements.
• Supervise electrical installation activities on-site, including cable laying, equipment installation, and wiring.
• Be aware of Local Authority Regulation applicable in Abu Dhabi.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Coordinate and oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment. Verify proper functioning and performance according to specifications.
• Identify and resolve electrical issues or discrepancies that arise during construction. Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to implement effective solutions.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure that electrical work meets design specifications and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, inspections, and tests. Prepare reports and documentation for project progress and compliance purposes.
• Liaise with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate electrical activities with overall project objectives and timelines.
• Assess and manage changes to electrical designs, scope, or requirements. Evaluate impacts on cost, schedule, and quality, and communicate effectively with relevant parties.
• Provide guidance and support to other electrical staff, contractors, and site personnel. Conduct training sessions on electrical safety, procedures, and best practices as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Awareness of Local Authority Regulation applicable Abu Dhabi.
• Experience in an engineering consultancy within the UAE is required.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
