Role Overview
Join our team as a Shift Technician - Mechanical where you will be an essential member supporting uninterrupted facility operations for our advanced data centre environment. As part of our team in Saudi Arabia, you'll work in a ONSITE environment, collaborating closely with engineering staff and management. Your experience in shift-based work and mechanical maintenance will contribute directly to maintaining high operational standards and responding effectively to any facility emergencies.
Responsibilities- Perform Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) on data centre mechanical and HVAC systems.
- Detect, troubleshoot, and repair faults in mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Respond calmly and efficiently to emergency situations, providing immediate technical solutions to restore functionality.
- Follow standard operating procedures and comply with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and site‑specific safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively and communicate in English with colleagues, supervisors, and external vendors as necessary.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for operational excellence within the data centre mechanical infrastructure.
- Document all activities and report issues using established maintenance management systems.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience working in mechanical maintenance within a data centre environment.
- Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written.
- Ability and willingness to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs.
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems with proven ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs.
- Demonstrated ability to detect faults, perform corrective repairs, and respond to alarms and emergencies with composure.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices in a technical facility setting.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team.
