The Converter Expert – O&M is a senior field execution role responsible for safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of converter systems installed on Siemens Gamesa G5X and G9X wind turbine platforms. The role focuses on hands‑on troubleshooting, breakdown maintenance, RCA execution, and performance improvement of power converter systems at wind farm level. This included planning of Preventive Maint., Design Changes and proactive Inspections plans to achieve better reliability of Power Converters and Critical Energy system in WTGs.

8–14 years of experience in wind turbine converter O&M, preferably SGRE platforms.

• Converter Operation & Breakdown Maintenance - Perform complex converter breakdowns, restoration, and recommissioning.
• Technical Troubleshooting & 24x7 Support - Provide expert technical support for converter alarms and failures.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) - Lead RCA using 8D methodology for recurring converter failures.
• Preventive Maintenance & Health Monitoring - Execute preventive maintenance and converter health audits. Also plan inventory for converter consumption.
• Retrofits & Software Upgrades - Carry out approved hardware retrofits and software upgrades. Ensure all Engg Instructions or Schedule are adhered during the execution.
• Grid Compliance Support - Support LVRT, HVRT, and grid fault investigations.
• Documentation & SAP - Maintain service reports, RCA documentation, and SAP consumption records.
• Safety & Compliance - Ensure strict adherence to EHS and electrical safety standards.

• Minimum 8 – 14 year experience in SGRE WTG with considerable experience in converter activities.
• Diploma or BE in electrical with experience in electrical troubleshooting.
