** Job Purpose
** The Planning Engineer will oversee the entire TRANSCO - NEXUS Project planning, scheduling, progress reporting process.

This is a PMC role, and there will be multiple Supervision Consultants and EPC`s appointed directly by the Client. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing planning and scheduling requirements on the large-scale power and water transmission projects in Abu Dhabi. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to meet project objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
** Job Responsibilities
*** Schedule Development & Maintenance  + Build and maintain Primavera P6 schedules (Baselines, Updates, Recovery/Acceleration plans, What-If scenarios).  + Develop activity coding structures aligned to WBS/OBS, calendars, and resource/cost loading principles.  + Perform logic checks, critical path analysis (CPA), and near-critical path monitoring.
* Progress Measurement & Reporting  + Implement progress measurement systems (earned value, physical progress curves, progress S-curves).  + Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports: lookahead schedules, progress narratives, variance analyses, milestone tracking.  + Generate dashboards and visuals using Power BI (e.g., SPI/CPI trends, milestone heatmaps, risked dates).
* Cost & Cash Flow Support (Basic)  + Coordinate with cost engineers to cost-load schedules, align to CBS, and produce time-phased cash flows.  + Compare planned vs. actual costs at a summary level to highlight variances affecting schedule.
** Qualifications
* ** Bachelor’s degree in related field.
* 5+ years
* Proven experience in a similar role.
** Technical Skills
*** Primavera P6 EPPM/Professional: calendars, resources, activity coding, baselining, TIA basics, layouts.
* Power BI: data import/transform, measures (DAX), visuals (KPIs, S-curves).
* Excel: pivots, charts, lookups, what-if analysis;
SharePoint for data collaboration.
* Understanding of EPC workflows, construction sequencing.
* Familiarity with EOT principles and schedule impact documentation.
