Your RoleAs a Senior Materials Controller
, you oversee the coordination, planning, and execution of material requirements across multiple projects in the oil and gas industry. The Senior Material Coordinator ensures the efficient flow of materials, alignment with project timelines, and compliance with quality and safety standards, supporting the operational excellence of the organization’s clusters.
- Collaborate with project teams to forecast material requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Optimize material utilization to minimize waste and excess inventory.
- Act as the liaison between procurement, warehouse, and project teams for material needs.
- Ensure seamless communication with internal stakeholders about material availability and requirements.
- Address and resolve material‑related issues promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate stock for all projects.
- Conduct periodic stock audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Identify slow‑moving or obsolete materials and coordinate their disposal or reallocation.
- Ensure all materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Work closely with QA/QC teams to address non‑compliance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of material certifications and approvals.
- Coordinate material deliveries to ensure timely arrival at project sites.
- Address any logistical challenges to avoid delays.
- Ensure compliance with HSE guidelines during transportation and handling.
- Prepare detailed reports on material usage, inventory levels, and procurement progress.
- Maintain comprehensive records of material transactions, certifications, and approvals.
- Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
- Minimum 6–8 years of experience in material control or logistics, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with multi‑project environments across civil, marine, power, and plant sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS, CPIM, CSCP).
- HSE certification related to material handling and logistics.
- Proficiency in material management software (e.g., Oracle ERP, SAP MM).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Knowledge of HSE regulations in the oil and gas industry.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
