Job Summary
The Senior Fire Life Safety Engineer is responsible for overseeing the performance, compliance, and continuous improvement of Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems across large‑scale infrastructure and facilities. The role ensures that all fire protection systems, evacuation strategies, and life safety infrastructure meet local Civil Defense regulations, international fire safety standards, and operational requirements within a complex 24/7 environment. This position provides technical leadership to facilities management and project teams to ensure safe building operations, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of fire safety systems.
Key Responsibilities Fire Life Safety Systems Management- Oversee performance and compliance of fire protection and life safety systems across facilities.
- Monitor installation, commissioning, and maintenance of FLS systems.
- Ensure all systems operate in accordance with UAE Civil Defense regulations and international fire safety standards (NFPA).
- Conduct site inspections to verify system performance, installation quality, and operational readiness.
- Coordinate Civil Defense approvals, submissions, and inspections.
- Ensure fire safety documentation, procedures, and operational processes remain compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of fire evacuation strategies and building occupancy safety guidelines.
- Monitor performance of contractors and service providers responsible for fire protection systems.
- Support the development of Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) scopes and technical requirements.
- Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and safety standards.
- Conduct operational reviews of fire life safety systems and related infrastructure.
- Identify system gaps, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Recommend technical improvements to enhance fire safety performance and operational resilience.
- Maintain records and databases for fire life safety system performance.
- Monitor compliance with preventive maintenance schedules and safety programs.
- Provide technical reports and recommendations to management regarding system performance and risk mitigation.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related technical field.
Professional certifications related to Fire Life Safety, Fire Protection Engineering, or Safety Management are preferred.
Experience- Minimum 9–12 years of experience in fire life safety engineering or fire protection systems.
- Experience in facilities management, infrastructure, or large, complex, and high‑risk operational environments.
- Experience in regulated environments or critical facilities preferred.
