Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Supervise safety management at chemical construction industrial sites, ensuring compliance with UAE laws, regulations, and company safety policies.
• Participate in risk assessments and safety planning, identifying hazards and proposing corrective actions.
• Conduct safety training for staff, including working at heights, electrical safety, and hazardous chemicals handling.
• Record, investigate, and report accidents and safety incidents, recommending preventive measures.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with ADOSH standards and company safety procedures.
• Report safety status to Project Manager/HSE Manager and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• The collection, storage and circulation of all of the documents related to the constructions, including instructions, usage, specifications of materials, equipment, facilities, etc.
• Keep harmony cooperation with client, construction unit, contractor, sub-contractor, supervision.

• Certification:
  • Required:
    
    ADOSH Certified;
  • Preferred: NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001.
• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above;
  • Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science preferred.
• Experience:
  • 2-5 years of experience in chemical construction industrial safety;
  • Experience in GCC region preferred.
• Skills:
  • Knowledge of UAE OSHA/ADOSH regulations;
  • Able to perform risk assessments, accident investigation, and safety training independently;
  • Strong communication, organizational, and coordination skills;
  • Proficient in MS Office and safety management software.
• Language: Fluent in English;
  Chinese is a plus.
