Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Lead Planning Engineer with experience in the oil and gas industry to be based in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi for a PMC downstream project.

- Align with Head of Projects in transitioning the scheduling system from MS‑Project to Primavera P6.
- Support the Project Manager on project‑related activities.
- Prepare detailed project schedules for all major projects.
- Track progress, provide detailed reports, and forecast finish using earned value, CPI, SPI and s‑curves.
- Interface with customer planners and expeditors on schedule matters.
- Coordinate with Quality Control on inspection and testing schedules.
- Support the Project Management team on other scheduling or project management issues.
- Create and maintain baselines and update progress using earned value techniques.
- Issue progress reports and maintain communication with all project stakeholders.
- Attend project kick‑off and progress meetings.
- Visit project sites to monitor progress and meet stakeholders.
- Develop schedules for tendering and maintain the company’s resource and inspection planners.
- Work in accordance with defined project procedures and instructions.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, focusing on project management or scheduling.
- Minimum five years of lead planning/scheduling experience in oil & gas projects.
- Proficiency in project management software, notably Primavera P6.
- Demonstrated experience applying earned‑value techniques, CPI, SPI, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proven ability to address schedule challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating collaboration with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
- Leadership and mentoring experience managing planning engineers.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to project planning and scheduling in the oil & gas sector.
- Certification in project management or scheduling (e.g., PMP, PMI‑SP) is an advantage.
