Position Overview

AECOM is seeking an experienced Marine Inspector to support marine and coastal infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across complex marine works, supporting the successful delivery of dredging, reclamation, and waterfront developments for major regional clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect marine works including dredging, reclamation, quay walls, marinas, beaches, and associated coastal structures
  • Conduct detailed inspections of marine structures, equipment, and installation activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards
  • Monitor quality, safety, and environmental compliance throughout construction activities
  • Record inspection findings, identify non-conformances, and prepare clear technical reports with recommendations
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities to resolve quality and compliance issues
  • Verify corrective actions and track closure of inspection comments
  • Utilize inspection tools and software to document site observations and progress
  • Participate in site meetings and provide technical input on marine construction quality matters
  • Support continuous improvement of inspection and quality control procedures
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in marine inspection or marine construction supervision
  • Strong knowledge of marine works such as dredging, reclamation, quay walls, jetties, and coastal structures
  • Familiarity with international and UAE marine, environmental, and safety regulations
  • Excellent technical reporting and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on-site and manage multiple inspection activities
  • Physically fit for site-based marine and coastal environments
