Specialist Construction Engineer – Civil – Offshore Topside Project
The K team delivers future‑forward science, technology and engineering solutions for governments and corporations. We are growing our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. We are seeking an experienced Specialist Construction Engineer – Civil with deep expertise in managing mega offshore EPC/PMC projects. This role will initially be based in the Contractor’s office in Abu Dhabi and will then move to the offshore site on a 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation cycle.
The Specialist Construction Engineer – Civil provides advanced technical expertise, discipline leadership, and oversight for civil and structural construction activities on complex oil & gas projects. The engineer functions as a senior technical authority responsible for ensuring construction integrity, design compliance and constructability of the project. The role supports project management teams by resolving high‑level engineering challenges and ensuring civil works are executed to the highest industry standards.
Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and oversight for civil and structural construction activities.
- Ensure construction integrity, design compliance and constructability of the project.
- Maintain safety, quality and regulatory standards across all civil works.
- Resolve high‑level engineering challenges and support project management.
- Act as senior technical authority for civil construction within the offshore project.
- 17+ years of overall experience, with at least 10 years in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience working on offshore projects (EPC or PMC).
- At least 5 years in a similar position for international oil & gas projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in managing mega offshore EPC/PMC projects.
- The position is initially based in Abu Dhabi and will rotate offshore in a 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off cycle.
