Civil Inspector
The Civil Inspector is responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and verifying civil and structural construction activities to ensure full compliance with project specifications, ADNOC standards, international engineering codes, and contractual requirements. The role ensures that all works are executed safely, accurately, and to the highest quality within both onshore and offshore environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct detailed inspections of civil and structural works including foundations, concrete placement, rebar installation, earthworks, structural steel, buildings, and infrastructure facilities.
Verify construction activities against approved IFC drawings, material submittals, ITPs, method statements, and ADNOC standards.
Monitor the execution of critical works such as formwork, shuttering, waterproofing, grouting, finishing, and road works.
Witness and validate field tests such as compressive strength, slump, compaction, load tests, NDT, etc.
Ensure contractor adherence to project quality control procedures and standards.
Review and endorse Inspection Test Requests (ITRs) in line with approved ITPs.
Prepare detailed inspection reports, quality observations, punch items, and non-conformity reports (NCRs) when required.
Maintain accurate and traceable QA/QC records for audits and handover documentation.
Support preparation and closure of punch lists and final mechanical completion dossiers.
Enforce ADNOC and project-specific HSE policies, ensuring the safe execution of all civil activities.
Participate in HSE walkthroughs, toolbox meetings, and risk assessments.
Immediately report unsafe practices, environmental concerns, or deviations from approved procedures.
Liaise closely with construction teams, contractors, consultants, QA/QC engineers, and project management for timely issue resolution.
Participate in technical clarification meetings and support resolution of site technical queries (TQs, SRFs).
Provide proactive feedback to prevent rework, delays, and design inconsistencies.
Support monitoring of work progress, ensuring civil activities align with project schedules and milestones.
Assist during pre-commissioning, hydrotesting civil support activities, and handover to operations.
Support audits, inspections, and visits by ADNOC representatives or client teams.

Direct experience with ADNOC Group projects onshore/offshore, including ADCO, GASCO, ZADCO, Borouge, Takreer, etc. Experience with reputable EPC contractors and PMC consultant firms in the UAE, KSA, Qatar, Oman, offshore certifications, and experience working in island facilities, platforms, or marine civil projects.
Qualifications & Experience- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of civil inspection experience in Oil & Gas onshore/offshore projects.
- Strong working knowledge of ADNOC Codes of Practice, GCC engineering standards, and major EPC project environments.
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex drawings, specifications, and industry codes (ACI, ASTM, BS, ISO).
- Strong reporting, communication, and analytical skills.
