Position Overview
AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Assistant Resident Marine Engineer to support and oversee marine supervision projects in Abu Dhabi. This role is critical to ensuring marine engineering works are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and contractual compliance across complex coastal and marine infrastructure developments.

- Supervise and coordinate marine engineering activities from project commencement through completion
- Support the Resident Engineer in managing daily site supervision of marine works
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to marine engineers and site supervision teams
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, international maritime standards, and UAE regulations
- Review technical submissions, method statements, and inspection test plans related to marine works
- Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and quality audits for marine engineering activities
- Coordinate with contractors, clients, authorities, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
- Monitor construction progress, identify technical issues, and recommend corrective actions
- Oversee preparation of technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation
- Ensure implementation of health, safety, and environmental requirements on site
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related discipline
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience with at least one delivered marine project as a Senior Engineer
- Strong supervisory experience in marine construction and supervision projects
- In-depth knowledge of marine engineering systems, dredging, reclamation, quay walls, and coastal structures
- Strong understanding of international maritime regulations and UAE marine standards
- Proven leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work effectively in a multicultural project environment
- Willingness to travel within Abu Dhabi as required for site supervision
- Work on landmark marine and coastal infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on technically complex developments
