Job Summary
We at Emarat Aloula are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer Buyer to support procurement operations for ongoing MEP and construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement in line with project requirements. Candidates with experience in MEP construction or contracting companies in the UAE will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Source and procure MEP materials, equipment and services in accordance with project requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) and follow up on order status.
- Coordinate with site teams, engineers and procurement managers to ensure accurate material requirements.
- Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely supply of materials to project sites.
- Maintain proper documentation of procurement activities including quotations, comparisons and POs.
- Assist in vendor selection, evaluation and performance monitoring.
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications and contractual requirements.
- Maintain updated records of approved suppliers and pricing benchmarks.
- Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (minimum requirement).
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant UAE experience in procurement or supply chain.
- Experience in MEP, construction or contracting companies is mandatory.
- Familiarity with procurement of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing materials.
- Knowledge of UAE supplier market and procurement practices.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of procurement processes and documentation.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Team player with good coordination abilities.
- Experience in EPC or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with local suppliers and subcontractors in UAE.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced construction environment.
- Immediate or short notice availability is an advantage.
