Reservoir Engineer - ADNOC Abu Dhabi Overview

ADNOC is looking for an experienced Reservoir Engineer to coordinate and execute reservoir management activities, ensuring well performance optimization and integrity. This role involves data analysis, troubleshooting well and reservoir issues, recommending corrective actions, and supervising field implementation to support operational excellence and maximize hydrocarbon recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze well performance data for oil and water injection wells.
  • Prepare investigative programs for problematic wells and supervise implementation.
  • Recommend and follow up on workover and corrective measures to restore well performance.
  • Monitor daily rig and well activities; summarize findings for management review.
  • Implement and oversee well integrity surveys including PLT, temperature, annulus, and pressure tests.
  • Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and troubleshooting of well issues.
  • Maintain well data systems, prepare E-well books, OFM models, and SAPHIR well test analysis.
  • Prepare annual field status and performance reports, highlighting problem areas and recommending improvements.
  • Ensure strict compliance with ADNOC HSE policies and international standards during all operations.
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 8-12 years of experience in petroleum engineering activities related to completions, workovers, and well monitoring, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role (offshore experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of well integrity monitoring, wireline operations, and reservoir surveillance techniques.
  • Proficient in reservoir engineering software tools such as OFM, MBAL, SAPHIR.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and handle high‑pressure operational environments.
