A Civil Engineer plans, designs, builds and maintains essential infrastructure such as deferent type of buildings, roads, bridges, dams and water systems, conducts site analysis, manages budgets and schedules, ensures regulatory compliance and oversees construction to protect public and environmental health. They use data from surveys, tests and maps to develop feasible, safe and cost effective project solutions while collaborating with teams, stakeholders and contractors throughout the lifecycle from initial concept to project completion.
Key Responsibilities- Design — Planning, analyse data, create project designs using CAD modelling and develop detailed construction documents.
- Project Management — Manage budgets, timelines, resources and oversee construction activities.
- Site Analysis — Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Compliance — Ensure projects meet authority approvals, building codes, safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaboration — Work with clients, architects, contractors and government agencies.
- Supervision — Oversee technicians, ensure adherence to plans and provide technical guidance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a strong foundation in engineering principles and practices.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to industry standards and ethics.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in civil engineering, with hands-on involvement in construction projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other industry-standard design software to create and modify engineering drawings.
