Position Overview

Senior Electrical and Instrument Maintenance Engineer – ADNOC Abu Dhabi, UAE.

This role involves developing and implementing maintenance programs to ensure the safety, reliability, and integrity of electrical and instrument systems across ADNOC facilities. Responsibilities include maintenance planning, troubleshooting, performance assurance, and supporting upgrades and shutdowns to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency.

• Develop, review, and optimize maintenance programs for electrical and instrument systems using RCM, FMECA, and other structured tools.
• Implement maintenance execution performance assurance programs and identify improvement actions.
• Prepare scope of work, conduct technical evaluations, manage service orders, and oversee troubleshooting and planned maintenance activities.
• Support resolution of chronic equipment issues through root cause analysis and provide technical guidance on upgrades and modifications.
• Ensure availability of tools and critical spare parts for safe and cost‑effective operations.
• Develop and integrate shutdown maintenance programs for electrical and instrument systems.
• Provide technical support for commissioning and implementation of new projects, ensuring alignment with standards and best practices.
• Drive adoption of predictive maintenance programs and digital tools to improve reliability of power and control systems.
• Review maintenance practices and introduce innovative methodologies to enhance equipment performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to share best practices and optimize maintenance strategies.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrument Engineering or related discipline.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in electrical and instrument maintenance within large industrial organizations, preferably in oil and gas.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance methodologies, site workflows, and plant processes.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Experience with technical upgrades and modernization of electrical and instrument systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
