Responsibilities
- Conduct regular Vessel Ship inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Conduct vessel inspection for pre audit to ensure Customer requirement is met and vessel is following safety standards
- Coordinate and assist during client inspection of vessels and follow-up punch list and arrange for close out
- Coordinate incident investigations, documenting findings and ensuring corrective measures are implemented to prevent recurrence
- Assist in preparing and maintaining HSE documentation, including reports, manuals, and emergency response plans
- Act as a liaison between management and employees to promote safety awareness and foster a proactive safety culture
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to health, safety, and environmental performance
- Arrange third party services of vessels basis expiry dates and update the records
- Liaise with authorities for Class and Flag requirement arrangements and update vessel certificates
- Support the preparation and submission of HSE-related permits and documentation to regulatory bodies
- Participate, prepare for vessel company HSE audits and inspections, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in HSE practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- NEBOSH or equivalent certification in health and safety management is preferred
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in HSE coordination within the Marine sector
- Proficiency in risk assessment and incident investigation methodologies
- Ability to communicate fluently in English; additional languages are a plus
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Detail-oriented mindset, with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Physical ability to conduct site inspections and assessments in various environmental conditions
