Overview

Drilling and Workover Engineer - ADNOC Offshore. ADNOC Offshore is hiring an experienced engineer to plan, coordinate, and supervise all aspects of drilling and testing operations. The role focuses on delivering safe, efficient, and cost‑effective drilling and workover programs aligned with ADNOC's operational objectives while ensuring compliance with HSE and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and prepare drilling and workover programs in line with well objectives and ADNOC engineering standards.
  • Coordinate with Reservoir Development teams for prognosis creation and optimization.
  • Ensure readiness of equipment, services, and contractors for planned wells.
  • Monitor and analyze drilling and completion operations, advising Drilling Supervisors on problem resolution and schedule optimization.
  • Track well performance against KPIs and recommend corrective measures for improvement.
  • Act as the main liaison between rig sites and main office to ensure operational excellence and HSE compliance.
  • Supervise rig moves and ensure proper positioning and safety standards.
  • Prepare Final Well Reports and complete After Action Reviews for each well.
  • Monitor well expenditures, provide cost estimates, and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Participate in well design and confirm drilling equipment specifications.
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives and recommend innovative solutions for operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mining Engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • 7–10 years of experience in Drilling and Workover operations, including offshore experience.
  • Advanced knowledge in Drilling/Completion, Directional Drilling, and Blowout Prevention.
  • Valid well control certification.
Professional Skills
  • Strong knowledge of HSE compliance and ADNOC standards.
  • Expertise in drilling equipment, workover techniques, and operational troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in using drilling engineering software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and decision‑making skills.
Work Environment

Primarily office‑based with occasional site visits; exposure to prevailing offshore weather conditions during field inspections.
