Land Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Review all project drawings and documents related to the scope of work
• Supervise survey related activities and ensure compliance with project requirements
• Conduct land and field surveys including performing geodetic calculations
• Coordinate with clients and contractors to confirm and validate survey specifications
• Deliver all surveying tasks on time and within the allocated man hours and budget
• Verify setting‑out, levels, and the location of existing services ensuring proper protection measures are in place
• Prepare detailed sketches to support field operations and maintain accurate survey records including field books, sketches, and calculations
• Measure completed works as required for reporting and verification
• Follow all site safety procedures and promote a safe working environment
• Assist in preparing accurate as‑built drawings
• Participate proactively in all site health and safety activities as directed by the Resident Engineer and the Safety Representative
• Carry out additional duties related to the role as assigned
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe work practices at all times

• Diploma or Associate degree in Land Surveying or equivalent
• Minimum 6 years of experience in infrastructure and utilities projects in the region
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a consultancy firm
• Knowledge and/or experience in using CAD software and survey software, total station, data collectors and GPS equipment
• Proven proficiency in survey data analysis, interpretation, and validation
• Thorough understanding of local land surveying regulations, codes, and standards, with specific expertise in Abu Dhabi requirements
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all survey‑related tasks
• Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to perform effectively in fast‑paced or high‑pressure environments
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently
