QA/QC Engineer / Quality & OpEx Specialist
Location:
UAE - Abu Dhabi
- Review project contracts regarding quality requirements and ensure they are understood and adhered to by the project team.
- Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan in line with contractual requirements, maintaining it throughout the project life cycle.
- Work with Supply Chain Management to ensure specific QA requirements are understood and complied with by suppliers and sub‑suppliers, including conducting Supplier Audits.
- Coordinate and supervise testing activities on procured products before delivery to site in accordance with the Project Quality Plan, including customer involvement where required.
- Conduct Project and Site Quality Audits and, where necessary, follow‑up and close audit findings.
- Support the project in managing Nonconformities/Incidents, including containment and resolution.
- Assist the Project Manager in initiating Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes where required.
- Provide coaching to the project delivery team in all aspects of Quality Assurance and Operational Excellence.
- Suggest improvements to the quality management system and train the project team on relevant QMS updates.
- Monitor customer feedback on quality issues and performance, supporting the project in handling customer complaints and reporting through Non‑Conformance for timely resolution.
- Provide a summary of lessons learned to the Quality Head to support further process improvement and experience sharing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Diploma in engineering is acceptable).
- Membership of the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is required.
- 5–7 years of experience in Quality Management (ISO 9001) with strong knowledge of Power Substation and Renewable projects of various sizes and contractual types.
- Experience in Electrical Transmission projects, including Civil Construction, is desirable.
- Proven track record of managing large‑scale, multimillion‑pound projects.
- Ability to take initiative, apply creativity and perseverance while remaining compliant with Linxon’s Code of Conduct.
- Computer literate and familiar with project scheduling tools.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of a local language is a benefit.
- Knowledge of Electrical Substation concepts.
