Irrigation Engineer
Responsibilities
Designs, implements, and manages water delivery systems for agriculture, landscapes, or communities focusing on efficiency and sustainability by assessing sites, analyzing soil, water sources, topography, and climate to tailor systems and create designs for parks, farms, and developments, often using CAD. Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning; prepare budgets, material submittals, and technical reports; oversee installation and system operation; monitor performance, adjust schedules, troubleshoot issues such as leaks or low pressure, and maintain systems for optimal water use while ensuring compliance with regulations.
Coordinate with teams and manage costs.
Typical Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Agricultural, or Irrigation Engineering. Experience with irrigation design software (such as AutoCAD) and hydraulic concepts. Knowledge of irrigation components (pumps, valves, controllers) and systems (drip, sprinkler). Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work on‑site and manage multiple tasks.
