Position Overview
Civil Project Planning Engineer - ADNOC Abu Dhabi will develop, monitor, and control project plans and schedules for assigned civil works, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and resources. The role involves reviewing consultants' and contractors' schedules, analysing progress reports, identifying potential delays, and recommending corrective measures to support timely project delivery.

- Develop and implement planning and scheduling systems and procedures for civil projects
- Review project execution strategies, master schedules, and implementation plans prepared by contractors and consultants
- Analyse progress reports, bar charts, and S-curves to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements
- Identify critical and sub-critical activities, monitor their progress, and evaluate their impact on overall schedules
- Participate in tender preparation by providing planning inputs and evaluating bids for project control requirements
- Assess contractor claims, change requests, and contract trend notices for time impact and provide recommendations
- Monitor contractor resource deployment, utilisation, and productivity, proposing corrective actions when needed
- Attend weekly and monthly progress meetings and prepare executive reports on project status
- Analyse progress trends, identify risks of delay, and propose solutions to maintain timely completion
- Support project close-out activities and ensure accurate reporting and documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of experience in project planning and scheduling for large civil or building projects within major organisations
- Proficiency in project planning tools such as Primavera, MS Project, and MS Office applications
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and progress measurement techniques
- Ability to assess contractor performance and identify corrective actions for project delivery
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills
