Overview
AECOM is hiring an experienced Land Surveyor - Marine to support marine and coastal infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on delivering accurate marine surveying data to support dredging, reclamation, coastal engineering, and offshore construction works while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and international standards.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, calibrate, and operate marine surveying equipment including GPS, sonar, and hydrographic systems
- Conduct bathymetric and hydrographic surveys for marine and coastal projects
- Measure and map underwater terrain to support dredging, reclamation, and marine construction activities
- Collect, process, and analyze survey data using specialized software and GIS applications
- Prepare accurate survey reports, drawings, charts, and maps
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and site teams to support project execution
- Ensure survey activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and UAE marine regulations
- Maintain detailed records and survey documentation
- Perform tidal, current, and level measurements as required
- Participate in safety briefings and ensure adherence to marine HSE requirements
- Support planning and execution of marine construction and dredging operations
- Travel to coastal and offshore project sites within Abu Dhabi as required
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related discipline
- Minimum 7 years of experience in marine surveying
- Strong proficiency in marine survey equipment including GPS and sonar systems
- Experience with survey data processing software and GIS tools
- Solid understanding of marine construction, dredging, and coastal engineering works
- Good knowledge of UAE marine regulations and environmental standards
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit to work in offshore and challenging marine environments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
