Position: CAD Supervisor (Deputy CAD Manager)

Job Description Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and plan the CAD work to be produced and released on time, define due dates, chase missing information, follow-up schedule, and inform Project Engineering team and Operations accordingly.

Report to Project Drafting Manager regarding project execution status, ensure efficient communication with all affected parties including sales, engineering, project engineers, change control, suppliers and subcontractors. Ensure drawings are clear, compliant with customer and Donaldson requirements, and that the correctness and completeness of prepared drawing packages from the team and eventual subcontractors are valid before production.

Design with cost reduction and localization in mind, minimize scrap, and utilize locally available resources.

Update drafting procedures per local, worldwide engineering standards and product specifications (ISO, EN, etc.) and maintain drawing formatting in Team Center Database.

Assist in new product developments and redesigns; contribute to product performance through improvement proposals and programs.

In close cooperation with the Systems Application Engineer (SAE), ensure that CAD Designers operate according to the same set rules and use the same tools.

Follow up GTS CAD methods, tools and propose updates where required—procedures, standards, manuals—in coordination with GTS SAE.

Conduct RCA for any design drawing errors and provide preventive actions.

Any other task assigned.

Comply with all processes and procedures across HR, Quality, HSE, Finance, IT, Procurement, Operations which include compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the local labor law. Employee shall comply with requirements listed in Company s QHSE Management System.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor or master’s degree in electro‑mechanical engineering or equivalent through experience.
Experience:

Minimum 6 years of 3D industrial CAD experience, with 2 years of experience in managing & coaching a team. Good experience in industrial products and production processes.
Knowledge / Skills /

Competencies:
- Good experience in industrial products and production processes.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD Software:
  Siemens NX & Teamcenter.
- Knowledge of sheet metal, welding and machining techniques.
- Able to understand commercial issues in the design role is an asset.
- Fluent in English.
- Driving license valid in UAE.
