Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Review HVAC design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals and method statements to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Supervise HVAC installation works on‑site ensuring quality, safety and adherence to approved drawings and IFC documents.
• Monitor contractor performance and progress ensuring timely execution of HVAC works.
• Witness testing and commissioning (T amp
  
  C) activities and ensure systems perform as per design requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architectural, structural, electrical) to resolve design and site issues.
• Review and verify contractor submissions including inspections, RFIs and as‑built drawings.
• Identify non‑conformances and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented.
• Assist in the evaluation of variations, claims and progress payments related to HVAC works.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, international standards and project HSE requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports, progress updates and technical documentation for the client.

• Bacheloru
  2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in HVAC systems, preferably within a consultancy or supervision role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC design, installation, and testing & commissioning.
• Familiarity with international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA) and UAE authority requirements.
• Experience in design review, site supervision, and contractor coordination.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office and engineering‑related software.
• Strong analytical, communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
