• Lead the design and development of aviation systems including terminal systems, airfield infrastructure, navigation aids, and communication systems
• Ensure all aviation and IT system designs comply with international standards such as ICAO, FAA, and EASA, as well as local Abu Dhabi regulations
• Coordinate and integrate aviation systems within broader airport and infrastructure projects through close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Manage design delivery to meet approved schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks
• Act as a key technical interface with clients, contractors, operators, and regulatory authorities
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful system delivery
• Provide expert technical guidance on airport IT and aviation systems such as air traffic management, ground handling, and airport operational systems
• Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, and structured design reviews
• Monitor emerging aviation and airport technology trends and assess their applicability to ongoing and future projects
• Lead, mentor, and manage teams of designers, engineers, and specialist consultants
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and performance-driven design environment
• Implement quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure design accuracy and compliance
• Conduct regular audits and technical reviews to maintain adherence to project specifications and industry standards

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline
• Master's degree is preferred
• Minimum 15 years of experience in aviation systems and information technology design, engineering, and delivery on major airport or infrastructure projects
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams on large and complex projects
• Strong experience in design management, coordination, and stakeholder engagement within IDDP or similar delivery models
• Demonstrated experience delivering airport terminal, airside, or aviation infrastructure projects
• In-depth knowledge of airport IT and aviation systems including ICT, FIDS, CCTV, access control, and related integrated systems
• Strong understanding of international codes and standards including ICAO, NFPA, IBC, ESTIDAMA, and Abu Dhabi authority requirements
• Proficiency in BIM and project management platforms such as BIM 360, Revit, Navisworks, Primavera P6, and MS Project
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced project environment

• Experience delivering major airport terminal projects including systems integration and stakeholder coordination
• Knowledge of sustainability standards and their application in airport infrastructure
• Experience working in the GCC or Middle East with familiarity of local construction practices and regulatory frameworks
• Experience with Integrated Design Delivery Partnership or Design-Build delivery models
