The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PMC Specialist HVAC Engineer with a proven track record in leading and coordinating engineering teams to ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of technical projects for a high-profile client.

Job Objective

Lead the design, engineering, and execution of HVAC systems for oil & gas facilities, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes, and project specifications. The role is responsible for delivering safe, reliable, and energy‑efficient HVAC solutions across all project phases.

Responsibilities
  • Lead HVAC system design for control rooms, substations, telecom shelters, and buildings
  • Lead HVAC system design for hazardous area ventilation systems
  • Lead HVAC system design for pressurization and smoke management systems
  • Perform heat load calculations using HAP/Carrier software or equivalent
  • Perform equipment sizing and selection (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust systems)
  • Develop and review HVAC layouts, ducting drawings, and schematics
  • Develop and review material requisitions (MR) and technical bid evaluations (TBE)
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC engineering standards
  • Ensure compliance with international codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ISO)
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil)
  • Review vendor documents and approve HVAC equipment submittals
  • Support procurement and ensure timely material delivery
  • Provide technical support during installation
  • Provide technical support during testing & commissioning
  • Resolve site technical issues and ensure design integrity
  • Ensure HVAC systems meet hazardous area classification requirements
  • Ensure HVAC systems integrate fire & gas systems
  • Promote HSE policies aligned with ADNOC guidelines
  • Participate in HAZOP / HAZID studies
  • Participate in design reviews and safety audits
  • Lead and mentor HVAC engineers and designers
  • Interface with client representatives (ADNOC PMC team)
  • Manage engineering deliverables, schedules, and manpower
  • Ensure quality assurance and control of HVAC deliverables
  • Oversee HVAC system pre-commissioning and commissioning
  • Validate performance testing (TAB – Testing, Adjusting & Balancing)
  • Ensure documentation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and commissioning reports
