Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the day‑to‑day waste collection and disposal operations ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular inspections of waste management facilities and equipment to identify and address potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for waste removal, recycling and specialized waste treatment services ensuring cost‑effectiveness and efficiency.
- Monitor waste generation trends and implement strategies to minimize waste production and maximize recycling rates.
- Possesses a relevant degree or diploma in environmental science, waste management, or a related field.
- Holds certifications such as Certified Waste Manager (CWM) or similar, demonstrating expertise in waste management practices.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in waste operations, preferably within a facilities management or environmental services context.
- Exhibits a strong understanding of waste regulations, including local, state, and federal environmental laws.
